In separate Instagram posts, they shared the delightful news, revealing that their baby boy was born on February 15th.
Posting on Instagram, the ex-Indian captain shared a brief yet heartfelt note, announcing the birth of their second child, whom they named “Akaay.”
“With immense joy and overflowing love, we happily announce the arrival of our baby boy, Akaay, as he joins Vamika as her younger brother in this world on February 15th!”
They humbly requested prayers and well-wishes from their fans while also urging everyone to “respect” their privacy during this special time.
The same announcement was also shared on the athlete’s X, previously known as Twitter account.
It’s worth noting that the couple has been steadfast about protecting the privacy of Vamika, their daughter born in 2017, and have never unveiled her face online. Similarly, they kept mum about the second pregnancy.
Virat and Anushka exchanged vows in 2017, and Anushka, a leading actress in Bollywood, has prioritized her family over her career, appearing less frequently on the big screen since Vamika’s birth.
In response to the news, Virat’s fans flooded the comments section with their well-wishes and prayers.
