Lahore, July 04, 2024 : Mohsin Naqvi, the Chairman of the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB), confirmed on Thursday that Shan Masood will continue as the captain of the national team for the upcoming Test series against Bangladesh.
Speaking to the media, Naqvi mentioned that he recently had a video call with Masood to discuss ways to improve the team’s performance in Test cricket. He clarified, “No decision has been made to remove Shan Masood as the Test captain of the national team.” He added that the 34-year-old opening batter will continue to lead the Men in Green in Tests, as he has received positive feedback regarding Masood’s leadership.

“Many have given positive feedback about his leadership,” said the PCB Chairman.
Regarding the venues for the Bangladesh Test series, Mohsin Naqvi stated that the PCB has finalized the locations, which will be Multan, Karachi, or Rawalpindi, as Gaddafi Stadium is currently undergoing upgrades.
It is pertinent to mention that the two-match series between Pakistan and Bangladesh is part of the ICC Test Championship 2023-2025.
