Karachi, July 06, 2024: The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) has forecasted that monsoon currents are expected to enter eastern parts of Sindh this evening.
The first monsoon rain system of the season is set to arrive in Karachi on the evening of July 8, bringing much-needed rainfall to the city.
Today, Karachi’s maximum temperature could reach up to 36 degrees Celsius, with humidity levels around 70%. The “feels like” temperature currently stands at 38 degrees Celsius and could potentially exceed 40 degrees Celsius.

Drizzling is anticipated in Karachi either this evening or tonight, providing some relief from the hot and humid conditions. The PMD had previously indicated that the city’s hot and humid weather would likely persist for the next 24 hours.
Residents of Karachi and other parts of Sindh have been advised to prepare for potential thunderstorms, strong winds, and lightning associated with the monsoon spell expected from July 8. The monsoon winds could bring rainfall to various districts, including Ghotki, Sukkur, Khairpur, Kashmore, Shikarpur, Dadu, and Jacobabad.
