Coconut Grove faces criticism for poor food, service

Coconut Grove

Coconut Grove, a restaurant located in Karachi known for its appealing ambiance, is under scrutiny for its substandard food and service.

Recent a customer post a review on a Facebook group, Voice of Customers, about his dining experience at Coconut Grove.

The customer rated the food a mere 4 out of 10, criticizing the club sandwich for being nearly burnt, and the chicken burger as only decent, while the fries, however, were deemed terrible, reportedly refried in rancid oil.

The customer in his review also claimed that the restaurant is charging hefty amount for the food while providing meals cooked in low-quality cooking oil, which he termed possibly smuggled.

The customer in the review lauded the restaurant’s attractive décor but he rated the overall experience as subpar despite high prices.

As per the complainant the restaurant has no proper complaint processes adding to the frustration.
Another customer commented on the review with a similar experience, below average food, untrained service staff, dirty, stained linen & chairs which left the customer with embarrassment in front of some of his foreign guests.

Customers are calling for Coconut Grove to address these issues, particularly regarding their oil sourcing and service quality, to match the high standards against their price.
