Larkana industrial zone has been given status of SEZ. Jam Ikramullah Dharejo

Karachi : September 24. Provincial Minister for Industries and Commerce Jam Ikramullah Dharejo has said that the Larkana Industrial Zone has been given the status of an Economic Special Zone for the development of Larkana and its surrounding areas. He said this while speaking on the occasion of an agreement ceremony between the SITE Government of Sindh, Special Economic Zone and the Government of Pakistan in his office today.

He further said that with the establishment of the economic zone, wide opportunities have been made available to the engro-based local industrialists to set up industries. In a ceremony held in Karachi, the site association declared the Larkana industrial zone as a special economic zone after completing the infrastructure construction and development works. After getting the status of SEZ, Larkana Industrial Zone was completely handed over to SEZA.

The industrial zone project started in 2017 and was completed in 2021 at a cost of more than Rs. 1366 million rupees, 94 industrial plots of one acre in the five-hundred-acre project. Commercial plots on 1000 yards are also included.

Provincial Minister for Industries and Commerce Jam Ikramullah Dharejo said that all the basic facilities were available in the economic zone. Local and national entrepreneurs have a golden opportunity to expand their business and start new industries.

He said that the Chairman of Pakistan People’s Party Bilawal Bhutto Zardari wishes that industrial development should be in every district of Sindh province because without industrial development no country can develop in the true sense. MD Site Ghazanfar Ali Qadri was also present on this occasion.
