KANDAHAR (BNA), October 19 2024: The Directorate of Agriculture, Irrigation, and Livestock of Kandahar has successfully reclaimed 270 jeribs of government land that had been illegally occupied.
This operation carried out in collaboration with local security forces, focused on the districts of Shah Walikot, Zharay, and Nish.
Mohammad Hanif Haqmal, the press officer for the directorate, announced the successful reclamation efforts to the Bakhtar News Agency. He confirmed that illegal constructions erected by the usurpers on the reclaimed land have been dismantled. Haqmal added that further investigations are underway to prevent any future encroachments on government property.
The reclamation marks a significant step towards protecting government land and ensuring its rightful use for agricultural and developmental purposes in the region.
