KARACHI, October 21 2024: In a remarkable boost to the economy, Pakistan’s technology exports surged by 42% year-on-year (YoY) in September 2024, reaching a total of USD 292 million. This substantial increase highlights the growing strength of Pakistan’s technology sector, which now contributes 44% to the country’s overall services exports.
Although the month-on-month (MoM) figure reflected a slight decline of 2%, the year-on-year growth showcases the consistent upward trend in tech exports. The significant rise demonstrates the increasing global demand for Pakistan’s tech-based services and the country’s expanding footprint in the international market.
This surge in technology exports is expected to further enhance Pakistan’s digital economy and strengthen its position as a key player in the global tech industry.
