Saudia Arabia, October 30 2024: Saudia, the national flag carrier of Saudi Arabia, has announced impressive operational results for the third quarter of 2024, showcasing a 10% growth in guest transportation compared to the same period last year. The airline successfully transported over nine million guests on more than 49,500 flights, reflecting a 9% increase in flight operations. Additionally, Saudia recorded 146,700 flight hours, marking an 11% increase with a notable on-time performance rate of 87.8%.
Enhanced Connectivity with Pakistan
This growth is particularly significant for Pakistan, as it paves the way for expanded flight services and increased connectivity between Saudi Arabia and Pakistan. Enhanced travel options will benefit Pakistani expatriates, tourists, and pilgrims, further strengthening the ties between the two nations. Saudia has long served as a vital link for travellers between Saudi Arabia and major Pakistani cities, facilitating both business and leisure travel.
International and Domestic Performance
On the international front, Saudia carried over five million guests, representing a 9% growth on more than 21,900 flights—a 5% increase from last year. The airline’s international fleet logged over 102,400 flight hours, highlighting its robust operational capacity.
Domestically, Saudia served over four million guests, reflecting a 12% increase, with more than 27,500 flights operated—a 13% rise. Domestic flight hours exceeded 44,200, with an impressive on-time performance rate of 91.5%.

Future Expansion Plans
From January to September 2024, Saudia transported over 25.3 million guests across 143,800 flights. Looking ahead, the addition of 131 new aircraft to Saudia’s fleet is set to significantly expand flight offerings and seating capacity across its network of over 100 destinations, particularly for routes connecting to Pakistan. This expansion aligns with the airline’s strategic goals to enhance connectivity globally and support Saudi Vision 2030, fostering deeper ties and collaboration between Saudi Arabia and Pakistan.
