Karachi, November 21, 2024 – In a significant step towards strengthening economic ties between Pakistan and Turkiye, the newly appointed Turkish Ambassador to Pakistan, H.E. Mr. Irfan Neziroglu, visited the Dawlance head office in Karachi. Accompanied by the Turkish Consul-General in Karachi, H.E. Mr. Cemal Sangu, the Ambassador discussed potential collaborations in areas including investments, innovation, and sustainability.
The visit highlighted the robust socio-economic partnership between the two nations and the shared commitment to fostering mutual growth. Dawlance, a subsidiary of Turkish multinational Arçelik, showcased its innovative efforts to drive sustainability and energy efficiency in Pakistan.
Ambassador Neziroglu praised Dawlance’s recent initiatives, including the launch of the Prima Line and D’Solar Line, which have set new benchmarks in sustainable technology. The Prima Line offers premium home appliances built to European standards but tailored for local conditions, while the D’Solar Line features solar-powered refrigerators and freezers designed to reduce energy costs and promote green energy adoption. The Ambassador also commended Dawlance’s shift to solar-powered manufacturing facilities, underscoring the company’s commitment to eco-friendly operations.
During the visit, Dawlance CEO Umar Ahsan Khan expressed pride in the company’s role as a bridge between Pakistan and Turkiye. “We are honored to engage with the Turkish government and receive recognition for our efforts. Beko’s $50 million investment in Pakistan since 2016 has enabled us to deliver high-quality products and create economic opportunities locally. We remain committed to fostering innovation and supporting sustainable development,” he said.
Dawlance, a leader in Pakistan’s home appliances sector, continues to attract foreign investments and facilitate global technology transfers, contributing to Pakistan’s sustainable growth and economic progress.
