The federal government has formally submitted a request to the National Electric Power Regulatory Authority (NEPRA), seeking a tariff increase of Rs1.72 per unit for KE consumers. This request is based on the second and third quarterly tariff adjustments from last year for the power distribution companies.

It includes a Rs0.25 per unit hike for the January-March 2023 adjustment and a requested increase of Rs0.47 per unit for the October-December 2022 adjustment.
