Karachi, August 24, 2024: Provincial minister for Industries and Commerce Jam Ikramullah Dharejo has said that SAFA has made remarkable strides in advancing the accountancy profession across our region, fostering collaboration and upholding standards of excellence.
This he said while speaking as a chief guest at ICMA’s SAFA International Conference. He said that it is both a privilege and a pleasure to be here today as we gather to celebrate 40 years of the South Asian Federation of Accountants (SAFA).
Jam Ikramullah Dharejo added, ‘ I am aware of the critical importance of sustainable economic growth. Our industries, our commerce, and indeed, our very economies are at a crossroads where the decisions we make today will shape the future for generations to come. The role of technology in this process cannot be overstated’.
He said that Sindh Government has been at the forefront of promoting sustainable economic growth through the strategic use of technology. We have launched several initiatives aimed at fostering innovation, particularly in the areas of renewable energy and digital infrastructure.
Provide minister for Industries and Commerce Jam Ikramullah Dharejo said that Our commitment to developing green industries and supporting technological advancements is evident in projects like the Thar Coal Power Plant, which emphasizes clean coal technology, and our extensive investment in solar energy projects across the province.
Additionally, we are working on enhancing digital connectivity in rural areas to ensure that the benefits of technological progress are accessible to all segments of society.
