KE strongly believes in empowering society and giving back to the community. Being a strong advocate of fostering emerging talent, we will continue our support to channel the positive energy of our youth,” he added.

Earlier, several parts of Manghopir had a very high incidence of power theft through kundas and local resistance would challenge K-Electric’s efforts to convert the infrastructure to Aerial Bundled Cables (ABC). So far 34 PMTS have been converted to ABC and more than 5,000 low-cost meters have been installed in Manghopir which are a testament to project Ujala, KE’s flagship community development project. Till date, over 600,000 lives in 72 communities have been benefitted while over 3,100 PMTs have been converted to ABC under the project and post-conversion, the respective areas have shown tremendous progress and experienced noticeable improvement in provision of power supply.
