AGTL Returns to Profit with Rs1.658 Billion Earnings as Tractor Sales Jump 60%

KARACHI, October 21, 2026: Al-Ghazi Tractors Limited (AGTL) has posted a significant financial turnaround in the first nine months of 2026, moving from a loss to a net profit of Rs1.658 billion as higher tractor sales and revenue strengthened its overall performance.

The company reported a net loss of Rs270 million in the corresponding period last year. The latest results represent a positive swing of Rs1.928 billion in profitability, reflecting improved operational activity and stronger demand for its tractors.

AGTL’s tractor sales increased 60% year-on-year to 6,587 units during the nine months ended September 30, 2026, compared with 4,126 units in the same period of 2025. Production also recorded substantial growth, rising 39% to 6,967 tractors from 5,005 units a year earlier.

The increase in sales supported a sharp rise in operating revenue. Revenue reached Rs17.511 billion during the period, up approximately 79% from Rs9.761 billion in the corresponding nine months of 2025.

Gross profit recorded even stronger growth, climbing approximately 159% to Rs4.477 billion from Rs1.729 billion a year earlier. This represented an increase of Rs2.748 billion and contributed to the company’s improved bottom-line performance.

Earnings per share also recovered significantly. AGTL reported earnings of Rs28.61 per share for the nine months, compared with a loss per share of Rs4.65 in the same period last year.

Commenting on the performance, Yasin Seker, Chief Executive Officer of Al-Ghazi Tractors Limited, said the results reflected stronger operational momentum and disciplined execution across the business.

He said the company remained mindful of the broader operating environment and would continue to focus on serving customers effectively, improving operational efficiency and building a business capable of delivering sustainable long-term performance.

The results show that higher production and sales translated into stronger revenue and a substantial improvement in profitability. However, the company continues to face an evolving business environment and aims to maintain operational discipline while responding to customer needs.
