Hardik Pandya will miss the remaining 2023 World Cup games

India, November 04, 2023 : The news that India’s star all-rounder, Hardik Pandya, has not recovered from his ankle injury and will not be available for the remaining matches of the international tournament dealt a severe blow to the only undefeated team in the ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup 2024.

In the 17th match of the ICC World Cup 2024, medium-fast bowler Hardik Pandya twisted his left ankle while bowling against Bangladesh and left the field right away.

The 30-year-old cricket player wished his teammates well on Saturday, stating that they are unbeatable and have a chance to win the third World Cup in 2024.

The World Cup standings currently have South Africa and India in the top two spots. The winner of Sunday’s game in Kolkata will have a one-shot opportunity to win the tournament’s group stage.

Prasidh Krishna, an inexperienced fast bowler, will replace him in the Indian squad. On Saturday, the Event Technical Committee of the tournament approved the bowler’s inclusion into the playing group.

For Sunday’s pivotal World Cup matchup against fellow tournament leaders South Africa, Krishna is available for selection.
