Karachi, November 18, 2023 : The lifeless body of a woman was discovered in a drum discarded on an empty plot in Karachi’s Defense Phase 7 area.
Residents in the area reported the discovery of the body to Karachi’s Defense Police Station. The police took custody of the unidentified body and transferred it to the hospital for legal procedures.
The South police spokesperson mentioned that the body, estimated to be 3-4 days old, has not been identified. An investigation into the case has been launched.
In 2019, a new development occurred in the case of a woman’s death at a government hospital in Karachi’s Korangi area. Police stated on Saturday that she had been murdered following sexual abuse, as revealed in the victim’s autopsy report.
The Korangi police confirmed that she was given a poisonous injection after being sexually assaulted at the hospital in Korangi No.5. A suspect, identified as Shahzeb, a compounder at the medical facility, was apprehended after the incident was reported, leading to the filing of an FIR at Awami Colony Police Station.
