Cement exports in Pakistan rose by 40.46% in the first four months of the financial year 2023-24 compared to the same period last year.
Cement exports from Pakistan reached US $93.087 million in July-October (2023-24), marking a 40.46% increase from US $66.271 million in the same period of the previous year, as reported by the Pakistan Bureau of Statistics (PBS).
The quantity of cement exports also surged by 81.69%, rising from 1,324,110 metric tons to 2,405,798 metric tons, according to the data.
On a year-on-year basis, cement exports in October 2023 increased by 32.58% compared to the same month last year. October 2023’s cement exports from the country totaled US $26.405 million, a rise from US $19.916 million in October 2022.
However, on a month-on-month basis, there was a slight decrease of 2.35% in cement exports during October 2023 compared to US $27.041 million in September 2023, according to PBS data.
