Karachi, December 11, 2023 : During the construction of a house in Karachi’s Orangi town area, a human skeleton was discovered, as reported.
As per the police statement, Salim Kashmiri, the previous owner of the house, had sold the property to Azeem a year ago. While Azeem was carrying out construction, a human skeleton was unearthed in one of the rooms.
Preliminary reports indicated that the skeleton, wrapped in cloth, likely belonged to a woman buried several years ago.
Police sources revealed that DNA samples have been collected by the forensic team for later matching with the database. The registration of the case will occur once the forensic report is obtained. In October of this year, a human skeleton was discovered in a bungalow near Zamzama under the jurisdiction of the Clifton police station.
Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) South Imran Qureshi stated that an investigation into the matter has been initiated by the Clifton police.
The police have transported the human skeleton to the hospital for identification and a medical report. According to SSP South, the bungalow, inactive for more than seven months, belongs to Muhammad Ahmad Aslam.
