Riyadh Air Launches First Direct Flights to Pakistan

ISLAMABAD, August 15, 2026: Riyadh Air has launched its first direct flights to Pakistan, starting with daily services between Riyadh and Islamabad.

The Saudi airline’s first flight arrived at Islamabad International Airport on August 14. The launch coincided with Pakistan’s 79th Independence Day.

The new service connects King Khalid International Airport in Riyadh with Islamabad International Airport. Riyadh Air is operating the route with its Boeing 787-9 Dreamliners.

The airline will operate two flight schedules between Riyadh and Islamabad. Flight RX0659 will depart Riyadh at 1:45pm four times a week on Sundays, Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays. Flight RX0661 will operate on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays at 8:10pm.

Riyadh Air will also launch direct flights to Lahore on August 18. The Riyadh-Lahore service will operate three times a week on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays.

Flight RX0675 will leave Riyadh at 1:40pm and arrive in Lahore at 7:50pm. The return flight, RX0676, will depart Lahore at 9:20pm and reach Riyadh at midnight the following day.

The new routes are expected to improve travel between Pakistan and Saudi Arabia. They will benefit Pakistani expatriates, business travellers and pilgrims travelling to the Kingdom.

More than two million Pakistanis live and work in Saudi Arabia. The new direct flights will provide them with a more convenient travel option.

The routes will also support business and economic ties between the two countries. Pakistani travellers can also use Riyadh as a connecting hub as Riyadh Air expands its international network.

Riyadh Air said its Boeing 787-9 aircraft will offer Business Elite, Business, Premium Economy and Economy cabins. Passengers will also have access to inflight entertainment, Wi-Fi, wireless listening and upgraded dining services.

The airline is also inviting passengers to join its Sfeer loyalty programme. Members can receive a Best Offer Guarantee, complimentary onboard Wi-Fi and rewards from their first flight.

Tickets for the new Pakistan routes are available through the Riyadh Air website, mobile app and selected travel providers.

The launch marks a new phase in air connectivity between Pakistan and Saudi Arabia and strengthens links between the two countries.
