Zindigi, WASA Lahore Launch Raast QR Bill Payments to Support Punjab’s Smart City Vision

LAHORE, June 13, 2026: Zindigi (JS Bank) has partnered with WASA Lahore to introduce Raast QR-based bill payments, taking another step toward digital public services and a cashless economy. The initiative supports the Punjab Chief Minister’s Smart City vision and promotes digital financial inclusion.

As a result, WASA customers can now pay their bills instantly by scanning a Raast QR code through any participating bank or mobile banking app. The new system offers a faster, simpler, and more convenient payment experience.

Moreover, officials from Zindigi and WASA Lahore signed the agreement during a ceremony at the WASA Lahore Head Office. Senior representatives from both organizations attended the event.

Speaking on the occasion, WASA Lahore Managing Director Ghufran Ahmed said the organization continues to modernize its services through digital payment solutions. He praised Zindigi for the timely rollout of the Raast QR system and said the initiative will reduce processing time, lower operational costs, and improve convenience for customers across Lahore.

Meanwhile, Director Planning & Evaluation Mudasser Javaid said WASA Lahore remains committed to advancing the Punjab government’s Smart City vision. He added that digital payment solutions such as Raast QR improve accessibility, modernize public services, and encourage cashless transactions throughout the city.

Commenting on the partnership, Zindigi Chief Business Officer Atif Ishaque said the collaboration reflects a shared commitment to accelerating Pakistan’s digital economy. He noted that WASA’s digital readiness enabled the smooth implementation of Raast QR payments and added that both organizations see further opportunities to expand digital innovation across the public sector.

Overall, the partnership highlights the joint commitment of Zindigi and WASA Lahore to use technology to improve public services while creating a secure, efficient, and seamless digital payment ecosystem for citizens.
