FPCCI, SIFC Discuss Measures to Boost Pakistan’s IT Exports

ISLAMABAD July 11,2026: The Federation of Pakistan Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FPCCI) and the Special Investment Facilitation Council (SIFC) held a meeting to discuss strategies for expanding Pakistan’s IT exports, attracting investment and accelerating digital transformation.

The meeting of FPCCI’s Central Standing Committee on Import and Export Trade was chaired by Tahir Rasheed Bhutta. Brig. Syed Nadir Hussain Shah, Project Director IT & Telecom at SIFC, attended as the chief guest.

FPCCI Vice President Tariq Jadoon, committee members, business leaders and stakeholders from the IT and trade sectors also participated.

Speaking at the meeting, Tahir Rasheed Bhutta said Pakistan’s economic future depends on digital innovation, IT exports and sustainable investment. He stressed that the government must implement business-friendly policies, introduce regulatory reforms and strengthen public-private partnerships to unlock the sector’s potential.

Meanwhile, Brig. Syed Nadir Hussain Shah said SIFC remains committed to facilitating investment and creating an enabling environment for the growth of Pakistan’s IT industry and exports.

Deputy Convener Syed Zulfiqar Shah said investment in technology, digital infrastructure and skilled human resources will shape Pakistan’s digital future and strengthen its global competitiveness.

Furthermore, Deputy Convener Samia Rashid and Rana Farrukh Ilyas urged the government to simplify regulations, promote innovation and develop a globally competitive workforce to support export-led economic growth.

In addition, Shoaib Mehdi called for supportive policies to encourage investment in data centers and digital infrastructure, saying these initiatives would further strengthen Pakistan’s growing IT sector.
