KARACHI, July 7,2026: TikTok removed more than 22.5 million videos in Pakistan during the first quarter of 2026 for violating its Community Guidelines, according to the platform’s latest Community Guidelines Enforcement Report.
The report, covering January to March 2026, highlights TikTok’s efforts to strengthen content moderation and provide a safer experience for users.
During the quarter, TikTok removed 22,535,523 videos in Pakistan, equal to 0.8% of all videos uploaded. The platform detected and removed 99.6% of the violating content proactively, while 95.5% of the videos came down within 24 hours of being posted. However, TikTok restored 690,557 videos after further review.
Globally, TikTok removed more than 184 million videos during the same period, representing about 0.5% of all uploaded content. Automated systems identified and removed 178 million of those videos. Meanwhile, the platform reinstated 8.84 million videos after additional review. Overall, TikTok achieved a 99.3% proactive removal rate, with 94.4% of violating content removed within 24 hours.
In addition, TikTok stepped up efforts to protect platform integrity. It removed 86.3 million fake accounts and another 25.8 million accounts suspected of belonging to users under the age of 13.
The report also revealed the main reasons behind content removals. Sensitive or mature content accounted for 18.6% of deleted videos, followed by violations of safety and civility standards at 12.6%. Moreover, 16.5% of removed videos promoted dangerous activities or challenges, while 12.9% contained body exposure or sexualized behavior. Another 2.1% involved edited media or AI-generated content.
TikTok said the quarterly report reflects its commitment to transparency by sharing details of its content moderation and enforcement efforts. The company added that users can access the full report, Community Guidelines, safety tools and policies through the TikTok Transparency Centre, available in both Urdu and English.
