KARACHI : July 26, 2026: Governor Sindh Syed Nehal Hashmi inaugurated the three-day Healthcare Exhibition at Expo Centre Karachi. More than 100 public and private healthcare organizations are displaying the latest medical technologies, healthcare services, pharmaceuticals, and hospital equipment. In addition, the event features conferences and technical sessions on key healthcare issues.
Speaking at the opening ceremony, Governor Hashmi welcomed the participants and said, “Cleanliness is half of faith, and prevention is better than cure.” He stressed the need for hygiene across all sectors, especially in hospitals and healthcare facilities. Furthermore, he urged healthcare providers to prioritize service over commercial interests.
Meanwhile, Prime Minister’s Advisor on the Sehat Sahulat Programme Arshad Qaim Khani said the initiative aims to reduce the financial burden of medical treatment on families. He added that nearly 30 million people across Pakistan currently benefit from government-supported healthcare services.
The exhibition has brought together healthcare professionals, government institutions, and industry leaders to promote innovation, collaboration, and advances in Pakistan’s healthcare sector.
The event also attracted foreign delegates and council representatives from Russia, the Republic of Korea, Indonesia, Moldova, and Türkiye. Other distinguished participants included Prof. Javed Akram, President of the Pakistan Society of Internal Medicine (PSIM) and Chairman of Akram Medical Complex, Lahore, and Muhammad Raza, Senior Vice President of the Karachi Chamber of Commerce & Industry (KCCI).
In addition, Dr. Kemal Aydin, Chairman of the Ibne Sina Foundation, Türkiye, and Founder and CEO of the International Health Summit for D-8, addressed the gathering. The speakers emphasized innovation, international collaboration, and public-private partnerships as key drivers for strengthening Pakistan’s healthcare sector and expanding access to quality healthcare.
Earlier, Badar Expo Solutions CEO Zohair Naseer welcomed the exhibitors, delegates, and distinguished guests. He highlighted the exhibition’s role in fostering innovation, partnerships, and growth across Pakistan’s healthcare industry.
