KARACHI, Aug. 2,2026: North Karachi Association of Trade and Industry (NKATI) President Faisal Moeez Khan has backed the recent remarks by the Director General of Inter-Services Public Relations (DG ISPR), saying Pakistan needs stronger governance alongside security measures to effectively counter terrorism.
Faisal said military action alone cannot eliminate terrorism. Instead, he called for stronger state institutions, effective governance, and greater public trust to address the country’s security challenges.
Furthermore, he described good governance as the foundation of lasting peace, economic stability, and sustainable development. He urged the federal and provincial governments to accelerate institutional reforms, improve public services, strengthen accountability, and uphold the rule of law.
He also called on citizens to put national interests above political differences. According to Faisal, the business community, civil society, and state institutions must work together to strengthen national security, economic resilience, and social cohesion.
Meanwhile, Faisal said Pakistan’s administrative structure should evolve with its growing population. He argued that policymakers should seriously consider creating new provinces to improve governance, administrative efficiency, and public service delivery.
He added that administrative reforms could speed up decision-making, promote balanced regional development, and improve access to public services across the country.
