Teyana Taylor has addressed the recent controversies surrounding Kanye West, describing the rapper as one of her “brothers” despite not always agreeing with his actions.
In a Vanity Fair profile, Taylor, an awards frontrunner this year, emphasized her loyalty to West while making it clear she doesn’t necessarily condone everything he does.

“I don’t have to agree with everything that he do or say, but I’m not going to, like, abandon him and be like, ‘Yeah, eff that motherf*****,’” she said.
“My brothers do s*** that I don’t agree with. … I don’t get into none of that.”

Taylor also stressed her honesty with West, saying, “If you want a real answer, you ask me. So if he asks me something, he knows he’s gonna get a real answer.”
The singer and actress made these remarks while responding to questions about working with West’s ex-wife, Kim Kardashian, on Ryan Murphy’s TV series All’s Fair. She added, “I do my s*** behind the scenes and do what I need to do to help. I’m in my business and I drink my water.”
