Lahore, July 26, 2026: Indus Motor Company (IMC), in collaboration with Toyota Motor Corporation Japan, hosted the grand finale of the Toyota Dream Car Art Contest in Lahore. The event reinforced IMC’s commitment to nurturing creativity, innovation, and imagination among children across Pakistan.

The contest, one of the world’s largest art competitions for children aged 15 and under, encourages young artists to imagine the future through art.

This year, the competition attracted a record 29,535 artworks from across the country. A total of 1,408 schools participated, including 638 government and underprivileged schools, highlighting IMC’s efforts to expand creative opportunities for children from all backgrounds. After a rigorous evaluation, judges shortlisted 488 artworks for the final round.

Meanwhile, IMC introduced the Vice Chairman Choice Awards, a new category that recognizes originality, creativity, and artistic excellence. Vice Chairman Shinji Yanagi personally selected three winning artworks for the award.

The ceremony honored 27 regional winners, while nine young artists earned the title of National Winners and represented Pakistan at the global Toyota Dream Car Art Contest finals in Japan. In addition, the jury presented three Jury Choice Awards and three Waku Doki (Heart-Pumping Excitement) Awards, selected by IMC engineers.

Furthermore, Vice Chairman Shinji Yanagi presented the Vice Chairman Choice Awards, while IMC CEO Ali Asghar Jamali handed out the CEO Choice Awards to three outstanding young artists.

The event welcomed IMC CEO Ali Asghar Jamali and Vice Chairman Shinji Yanagi as chief guests. Toyota dealer principals, suppliers, journalists, and members of the jury also attended the ceremony.

The judging panel included renowned faculty members from the Indus Valley School of Art & Architecture—Aliya Yousuf, Khalid Anwar, Masood A. Khan, and Abdul Jabbar Gull. Their expertise ensured a transparent and merit-based selection process.

Speaking at the event, Ali Asghar Jamali said the contest goes beyond art by encouraging innovation, creativity, and confidence among Pakistan’s youth. He added that the record participation, especially from government and underprivileged schools, reflects IMC’s commitment to creating equal opportunities for every child.

Shinji Yanagi said every artwork tells a unique story and showcases the limitless imagination of young minds. He added that the new Vice Chairman Choice Awards recognize creativity, originality, and bold ideas.

Through the Toyota Dream Car Art Contest, IMC continues to promote youth development and creative expression across Pakistan. By engaging thousands of children, including those from underserved communities, the company aims to inspire the next generation to dream bigger, think creatively, and shape a brighter future.
