Karachi, August 14 : National Bank of Pakistan (NBP) celebrated the 79th Independence Day of Pakistan with a ceremony held at its Head Office in Karachi, attended by President & CEO Mr. Rehmat Ali Hasnie, senior management, and staff members from across the Bank.
The event included hoisting of the national flag by the President, singing of the national anthem and a cake cutting ceremony.
Addressing the gathering, Rehmat Hasnie paid tribute to the sacrifices of the nation’s founders and Armed Forces, and spoke about NBP’s role in advancing financial inclusion and economic empowerment across Pakistan.
“Real freedom means economic empowerment and financial inclusion for every Pakistani,” he said. “This year has been a landmark one for the Bank, and that strength allows us to do even more for the people of Pakistan including our farmers, our shopkeepers, our students, and our women entrepreneurs.”
He also highlighted the Bank’s continued digital transformation and its commitment to serving pensioners, remittance senders, and government beneficiaries as “The People’s Bank.”
