KARACHI, October 7, 2026: Mega Motor Company (MMC), the official BYD partner in Pakistan, has marked one year of the BYD Shark 6 in the country.
To celebrate the milestone, the company has introduced an exclusive new colour called Outback Orange.
The anniversary edition was unveiled at the Pakistan Auto Show (PAPS) 2026 in Lahore. It gives customers a more distinctive version of the country’s first and most powerful plug-in hybrid pickup.
The BYD Shark 6 combines electric performance with off-road capability and plug-in hybrid technology. It is designed for customers who want a powerful pickup for both daily use and adventure.
Danish Khaliq, Vice President Sales & Strategy, BYD Pakistan – MMC, said the company wanted to offer Pakistani customers something different in the pickup segment.
He said the Shark 6 combines the capability expected from a pickup with the technology and driving experience of a plug-in hybrid.
According to Khaliq, the response to the Shark 6 during its first year has been encouraging. He added that the response shows Pakistani customers are ready to adopt new automotive technology when the right options are available.
The BYD Shark 6 uses BYD’s Super DMO technology. It produces 436 horsepower and 650 Nm of torque. The pickup also offers a combined driving range of up to 800 kilometres.
In addition, the Shark 6 comes with Mud, Snow and Sand driving modes. These modes help the vehicle handle different terrains and driving conditions.
The anniversary edition keeps the Shark 6’s existing performance and off-road features. However, it adds the exclusive Outback Orange colour for customers looking for a more distinctive pickup.
Meanwhile, BYD Pakistan has announced a special offer for the anniversary. Customers who book the Shark 6 between October 1 and October 31, 2026, will receive their vehicle within 30 days, subject to selected colours and full payment.
Customers who book during the promotional period will also receive a one-year free service maintenance package.
The first anniversary of the BYD Shark 6 comes as Pakistan’s electric and hybrid vehicle market continues to expand. The new anniversary edition also gives customers another option in the premium pickup segment.
