K-Electric (KE)’s Board of Directors meeting was cut short after disagreements arose among its members over the proposed removal of Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Moonis Alvi, reliable sources revealed.
According to reports from insiders, this high-level meeting was convened formally to discuss and decide on the future of its CEO; however, tensions quickly arose once it started.

The meeting lasted only six minutes before five board members left in protest, leaving any discussions unfinished and any decision regarding CEO Moonis Alvi’s position unmade.
Sources familiar with the situation indicated that the disagreement stemmed from differences among government-supported and private-sector board members regarding the timing and procedure for any planned leadership change.
