KARACHI, August 19, 2026: Pakistan’s IT exports continued to grow in July 2026, reaching US$417 million, up 18% year-on-year. Exports remained broadly stable compared with the previous month.
On a trailing 12-month (TTM) basis, IT exports rose to US$4.66 billion, marking a 20% increase from US$3.87 billion recorded during the same period last year.
Meanwhile, net IT exports, calculated after deducting imports, stood at US$344 million in July, up 9% year-on-year. On a TTM basis, net IT exports reached US$4.01 billion.
The continued growth highlights the expanding contribution of Pakistan’s technology sector to the country’s export earnings.
Under the government’s “Uraan Pakistan” national economic plan, Pakistan has set an ambitious target of US$10 billion in IT exports by FY29.
Achieving this target would require an estimated 29.9% compound annual growth rate (CAGR) through FY29, significantly higher than the sector’s current growth pace.
