KARACHI Aug 19,2026: ABHI Bank has reported a profit after tax of PKR 1.502 billion for the six months ended June 30, 2026. The profit has already surpassed the bank’s full-year profit of PKR 1.019 billion recorded in 2025.
The bank’s profit also increased sharply from PKR 200.2 million during the same period last year, marking another strong performance.
The growth was supported by a larger balance sheet, higher earning assets, stronger deposit mobilisation, improved recoveries and continued focus on risk management.
ABHI Bank’s total assets crossed the PKR 100 billion mark, reaching PKR 101.55 billion by June 30, 2026. This represents a 32% increase from PKR 76.80 billion at the end of December 2025.
Gross advances also rose to PKR 50.07 billion, compared with PKR 38.16 billion at the end of 2025.
The bank’s deposits increased by around 25% to PKR 86.19 billion, up from PKR 69.09 billion at the end of December 2025. The increase reflects stronger deposit mobilisation and continued growth in the bank’s customer base.
Revenue also recorded significant growth during the first half of 2026. It reached PKR 10.52 billion, compared with PKR 5.84 billion during the same period last year. This represents an 80.1% year-on-year increase.
The first-half revenue has already reached around 74% of the PKR 14.25 billion revenue recorded for the entire year of 2025, highlighting the bank’s strong financial momentum.
Shareholders’ equity also improved significantly. It stood at PKR 3.11 billion as of June 30, 2026, compared with negative equity of PKR 397 million at the end of 2025.
The improvement was driven by strong profitability and the recognition of PKR 2 billion as Advance Against Issuance of Shares.
During the period, the bank also continued investing in technology, infrastructure, digital capabilities, employees and internal control functions to support its growth.
ABHI Bank’s financial statements for the six months ended June 30, 2026, received an unmodified audit opinion from independent auditors Baker Tilly Mehmood Idrees Qamar, Chartered Accountants.
The auditors stated that the financial statements present a true and fair view of the bank’s financial position and performance and comply with applicable accounting and reporting requirements in Pakistan.
With stronger profitability, assets above PKR 100 billion, rising deposits, an expanding lending portfolio and improved equity, ABHI Bank enters the second half of 2026 on a stronger financial footing.
The bank aims to build on this momentum and deliver further growth by the end of the year.
