KARACHI, 12 May 2026: The Lasbela Chamber of Commerce & Industry (LCCI) has called for the immediate establishment of a specialized industrial security force for the Hub Industrial Trading Estate, one of Balochistan’s key economic zones.
The LCCI President and the Executive Committee urged all law enforcement agencies to act quickly and take concrete steps to protect industrialists, workers, and investors in the area. They warned that the current security situation is damaging business confidence.
Moreover, LCCI leaders expressed deep concern over recent violent incidents in Hub. They said these incidents have created fear and insecurity among factory owners, investors, managers, workers, and others linked to industrial activity.
The chamber formally submitted its demands to the Chief Secretary Balochistan, the Inspector General of Police Balochistan, the SSP Hub, Frontier Corps officials, and other relevant authorities. It called on them to intervene without delay and ensure effective action.
In addition, former LCCI President and Chairman of the Law & Order Committee, Ismail Suttar, reiterated his long-standing demand for a dedicated and professionally trained industrial security force for the Hub Industrial Trading Estate.
He stressed that investment and development cannot continue without restored law and order. He added that economic stability depends on a safe and stable business environment.
Furthermore, Suttar said the proposed security force should include advanced surveillance systems, rapid response units, and strong patrol mechanisms. It should also control all entry and exit points to prevent unauthorized access to the industrial zone.
He emphasized that authorities must take immediate and decisive steps. According to him, such action is necessary to rebuild the confidence of industrialists and the thousands of workers who rely on the Hub Industrial Area for their livelihoods.
Despite its concerns, the Lasbela Chamber maintained a constructive approach. It said it is ready to cooperate fully with the administration and law enforcement agencies.
Finally, the chamber stated, “We are not only raising concerns; we are ready to be part of the solution.”
