KARACHI, September 5, 2026: Pakistani IT companies and startups are exploring new investment and partnership opportunities in Saudi Arabia as the Kingdom expands its technology sector under Vision 2030.
Majlis-e-Pakistan, a community of Pakistani technology professionals in Saudi Arabia, hosted the “Pakistan Tech Meetup” in Riyadh. The event aimed to connect Pakistani IT companies with investors, entrepreneurs and established businesses in the Kingdom.
More than 50 IT companies participated in the meetup, which was held alongside LEAP 2026.
The event brought together Pakistani technology professionals, investors, entrepreneurs and startup founders. They discussed opportunities for investment, partnerships and business expansion in Saudi Arabia.
Saqib Zubair, Patron-in-Chief of Majlis-e-Pakistan, said the Pakistani business and technology community in Saudi Arabia was ready to support Pakistani IT companies and startups entering the market.
He said the community could help companies set up operations, access financing and raise funds. This support, he added, could also strengthen business ties between Pakistan and Saudi Arabia.
Zubair said the Pakistan-Saudi business community would also support Pakistani companies participating in LEAP 2026. The aim is to help them identify new business and investment opportunities across Saudi Arabia.
Saad Shah, CEO of Hexalyze and an IT exporter, said Saudi Arabia offered major opportunities for Pakistani technology companies.
He said the Kingdom’s Vision 2030 was creating new opportunities in technology, business and investment. Pakistani IT firms could use these opportunities to expand their offshore operations in Saudi Arabia and the wider Gulf region.
Shah said partnerships with Pakistani businesses already operating in Saudi Arabia could make market entry easier. Such partnerships could help companies avoid unnecessary costs and reduce the challenges of entering a new market.
Pakistan IT Association (P@SHA) Chairman Sajjad Syed said the growing number of Pakistani IT companies and startups opening offices and subsidiaries in Saudi Arabia was a positive development for Pakistan’s technology sector.
He said this trend could also support the growth of Pakistan’s IT exports.
Syed noted that many Pakistani technology professionals are already working in Saudi Arabia. Their presence is helping strengthen Pakistan’s contribution to the Kingdom’s growing digital economy.
He called for stronger links between Pakistan’s IT industry and the Pakistani technology community in Saudi Arabia. According to him, closer cooperation can create new business opportunities and support growth in both markets.
The Pakistan Tech Meetup also featured speeches by business leaders and panel discussions on technology, investment and business opportunities in Saudi Arabia.
The event gave Pakistani IT companies, investors, entrepreneurs and technology professionals an opportunity to build connections, explore partnerships and develop new business opportunities in the Kingdom.
