PPDA and PSO Discuss Fuel Supply and Lubricant Issues

KARACHI, August 10, 2026: The Pakistan Petroleum Dealers Association (PPDA) and Pakistan State Oil (PSO) held a meeting to discuss key issues facing the petroleum retail sector and strengthen cooperation between the two organizations.

The meeting covered lubricant supplies, price differences and other matters affecting petroleum dealers.

PPDA Chairman Malik Khuda Bakhsh stressed the need for proper allocation and uninterrupted supply of Force lubricants. He said PSO should ensure adequate supplies according to the requirements of dealers’ outlets.

The PPDA delegation also raised concerns over a significant gap between market prices of lubricants and their official retail prices. The dealers said the price difference was causing substantial financial losses.

In response, PSO management agreed to conduct a survey to examine the issue and assess the prevailing market situation.

PSO management also assured the PPDA delegation that it would review all issues raised during the meeting and address them on a priority basis.

Meanwhile, PSO requested continued cooperation from PPDA and its members to ensure that fuel purchases and supplies remain exclusively through PSO retail outlets.

The company said continued support from petroleum dealers would help maintain smooth and uninterrupted operations. It would also strengthen business cooperation between PSO and PPDA.

Both sides reaffirmed their commitment to coordination, cooperation and the timely resolution of outstanding issues. They also agreed to work together to protect the interests of the petroleum dealers’ community.
