ISLAMABAD, Aug. 6, 2026: The Securities and Exchange Commission of Pakistan (SECP) registered a record 5,438 new companies in July 2026, marking the highest monthly company registration in the regulator’s history. The month also saw five foreign companies establish registered business offices in Pakistan.
The SECP said the steady rise in company registrations reflects growing confidence among local and foreign investors in Pakistan’s business environment. More entrepreneurs are opting for the corporate structure to benefit from legal protection, improved corporate governance, and easier access to financial services.
The five international companies registered in Pakistan include Jereh Oil & Gas Engineering (Malaysia) Sdn. Bhd., Polaris Natural Resource Development FZE, Zhejiang Jinlun Electromechanic Co. Ltd., Jiangsu Ankura Intelligent Electric Co. Ltd., and Construction Company.
Of the total registrations, 3,148 were private limited companies, 2,117 single-member companies, 127 limited liability partnerships (LLPs), 28 non-profit organizations registered under Section 42, and 18 public companies.
Punjab led the registrations with 2,756 companies, accounting for 51% of the total. It was followed by Islamabad (1,053), Sindh (864), Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (450), Gilgit-Baltistan (180), and Balochistan (135).
The Information Technology (IT) sector topped the list with 1,008 new companies. Other leading sectors included trading (845), services (638), construction (348), food and beverages (256), tourism (207), e-commerce (181), education (165), real estate development (162), and corporate agriculture (145).
During July, 112 newly registered companies included foreign directors from China, the United States, Afghanistan, South Korea, Germany, Iran, and the United Kingdom, highlighting continued international business interest in Pakistan.
