KARACHI, Aug. 5, 2026: The Sindh government has directed all relevant agencies to remove utility-related hurdles and complete relocation work immediately to keep the Yellow Line Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) project on schedule.
The directives were issued during a Transport Department meeting chaired by Sindh Senior Minister for Information, Transport and Mass Transit Sharjeel Inam Memon. Secretary Transport Asad Zamin, Yellow Line Project Director Kamal Dayo, and other officials attended the meeting.
Officials reviewed the project’s progress and decided to accelerate construction. They informed the meeting that work on various sections is progressing as planned, while the project’s depots are expected to be completed in the first quarter of next year.
Meanwhile, Sharjeel Inam Memon instructed authorities to complete the second section of the Taj Haider Bridge as soon as possible to reduce public inconvenience. He also ordered departments to remove all construction bottlenecks and give top priority to utility shifting to avoid delays.
Furthermore, the senior minister described the Yellow Line BRT as a key public transport project for Karachi and said its timely completion remains one of the Sindh government’s top priorities. He directed all concerned departments to strengthen coordination, resolve pending issues promptly, and ensure the project is completed within the stipulated timeframe.
