KARACHI, Aug. 6, 2026: Wafi Energy Pakistan Limited has inaugurated a 7.4 million-litre motor gasoline storage tank at its Tarru Jabba terminal in Nowshera, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, expanding the country’s fuel storage capacity and reinforcing its investment in Pakistan’s energy sector.
The inauguration ceremony was attended by officials from the Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA), led by Senior Executive Director (Enforcement) Sohail Ahmed Tariq, along with Wafi Energy Pakistan’s management.
Wafi Energy Pakistan CEO Zubair Shaikh said the company has served Pakistan since 1947 and remains committed to strengthening the country’s energy security. He added that expanding fuel storage will improve supply reliability, particularly along major travel routes and tourist destinations, while supporting the continued growth of the company’s Shell retail network.
Furthermore, the company completed construction of the storage tank in one year, achieving 300,000 safe work-hours during the project.
Wafi Energy said the investment also supports its expanding Shell retail network, which now operates more than 700 fuel stations nationwide after adding 32 new sites in 2026. The company said the project reflects its long-term commitment to meeting Pakistan’s growing energy needs.
