Mobilink Bank, Yango Pakistan Partner to Offer Shariah-Compliant Financing and Takaful to Drivers

KARACHI, August 24, 2026: Mobilink Bank and Yango Pakistan have partnered to provide eligible Yango drivers and couriers with access to Shariah-compliant vehicle and handset financing, Takaful protection, digital banking and payment solutions.

The partnership aims to promote financial inclusion by providing drivers with financial products designed around their earning and business needs.

Under the partnership, eligible drivers can access Car Diminishing Musharakah financing of up to PKR 5 million. Murabaha financing will also be available for motorcycles, e-bikes, rickshaws and handsets.

Rickshaw, motorcycle and handset financing will also be offered through applicable Corporate Guarantee arrangements.

Eligible financed customers will receive complimentary embedded Takaful coverage throughout the financing period. The coverage includes income protection, hospitalization and maternity benefits for eligible women borrowers, as well as protection against accidental death or permanent disability.

Vehicle Takaful and additional asset-protection solutions will also be available under the partnership.

Haaris Mahmood Chaudhary, President and CEO of Mobilink Bank, said Pakistan’s growing gig economy is creating new opportunities for entrepreneurs, but many workers still remain outside the formal financial system.

He said the partnership would give ride-hailing drivers access to Shariah-compliant financing, protection and digital banking tools to strengthen their livelihoods and support sustainable growth.

Miral Sharif, Country Head for Yango Pakistan, said a vehicle is more than an asset for a driver because it is the foundation of their earning potential.

She said access to suitable financing and protection could directly support drivers’ ability to work and expand their income. The partnership with Mobilink Bank, she added, would bring these financial solutions closer to eligible drivers and give them greater flexibility to invest in essential tools.

Eligible Yango drivers and couriers will also gain access to Mobilink Bank’s digital banking and payment ecosystem.

The services include digital account onboarding, Business Plus Account benefits, Raast QR payments and a dedicated Driver QR for collecting fares.

Selected connectivity and handset benefits will also be available to eligible drivers and couriers under the partnership.
