KARACHI June 18,2026 : The Naya Nazimabad Foundation has awarded scholarships to 200 deserving students of Jinnah University for Women. As part of the initiative, Syed Muhammad Talha, representing industrialist Arif Habib, presented a cheque of Rs 10 million to Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Naeem Farooqui.
Moreover, senior officials, including Finance Director Sunny Ahmed, deans, and registrars, attended the ceremony. The foundation had earlier announced the scholarships after Chairman Arif Habib visited the university and met Chancellor Wajihuddin Ahmed. Following that visit, he committed to supporting 200 female students.
Speaking on the occasion, Syed Muhammad Talha said education for women strengthens families and society. Therefore, he stressed that supporting talented and deserving students remains essential for national development. In addition, he reaffirmed that the foundation will continue to support women’s education in the future.
Meanwhile, Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Naeem Farooqui thanked the Naya Nazimabad Foundation and Arif Habib for their contribution. He said the university selected students purely on merit. Furthermore, he expressed hope that the recipients would fully utilize the opportunity to continue their higher education.
Similarly, Finance Director Sunny Ahmed appreciated the initiative. He said organizations like the Naya Nazimabad Foundation play an important role in supporting talented students. As a result, he believes such efforts will encourage and motivate future scholars.
