KARACHI, June 24, 2026: Mobilink Bank has partnered with the Depilex Smileagain Foundation (DSF) to provide 25 electric scooters to women who survived acid and kerosene burn violence. Through its CSR initiative, the bank aims to help survivors regain independence, improve mobility, and access education, employment, healthcare, and social opportunities more easily.
Senior leaders from both organizations attended the signing and handover ceremony in Lahore. They highlighted that limited mobility remains a major challenge for many women, especially survivors working to rebuild their lives after traumatic experiences.
Through this partnership, Mobilink Bank is converting its social investment into a long-term asset that enables beneficiaries to travel independently and participate more actively in daily life. Moreover, the bank selected electric scooters to support environmental sustainability while promoting social inclusion.
Speaking at the event, Mobilink Bank Head of Strategy & Sustainability Khowla Shoaib said the initiative aims to remove barriers that restrict women’s independence. She noted that greater mobility can improve access to education, healthcare, jobs, and other opportunities, helping survivors move forward with confidence and dignity.
Meanwhile, Depilex Smileagain Foundation Founder and President Musarrat Misbah said mobility plays a vital role in rehabilitation. She added that the partnership will give women survivors greater freedom to pursue work, education, and personal development while rebuilding their lives.
Furthermore, the initiative aligns with Mobilink Bank’s broader ESG strategy. The bank continues to support women entrepreneurs and underserved communities through inclusive financial services, skill-development programs, and sustainability-focused projects.
By combining survivor rehabilitation with sustainable transportation, Mobilink Bank and DSF aim to create lasting social impact while advancing a more inclusive and environmentally responsible future.
