Wafi Energy Pakistan Reports 319% Profit Surge in Q3 2025

Karachi, October 28, 2025: Wafi Energy Pakistan Limited (WEPL) posted a remarkable financial performance for the nine months ended September 30, 2025, recording a profit after tax of PKR 3,030 million, compared to PKR 724 million in the same period last year — a surge of 319% year-on-year, according to a company statement.

The strong results reflect the company’s expanding footprint and operational efficiencies in its first full year of operations in Pakistan. WEPL continued to strengthen its Shell-branded retail network, commissioning 28 new fuel sites, upgrading seven locations, and adding 12 Shell Select stores nationwide.

The company also launched its second eco-friendly Shell fuel station in Rawalpindi, constructed using 7,700 kilograms of recycled plastic in collaboration with Concept Loop, a Wafi Tameer alumni startup. This initiative follows Pakistan’s first retail site built with recycled plastic and a road project utilizing recycled lubricant cans in Karachi, reinforcing WEPL’s sustainability and waste repurposing strategy.

During the quarter, WEPL rolled out the New & Improved Shell V-Power fuel designed to enhance vehicle performance. Its lubricants business maintained growth in both consumer and industrial markets, bolstered by partnerships in mining, transport, and construction sectors.

Demonstrating its commitment to corporate responsibility, WEPL partnered with the National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA) to supply fuel for emergency and relief operations during the recent floods.
