Karachi, February 11, 2026: Dawlance, Pakistan’s leading home appliance manufacturer and a subsidiary of Beko Group, has received the Climate Action Award at the 4th Pakistan Climate Conference 2026 organized by the Overseas Investors Chamber of Commerce and Industry (OICCI).
The award recognizes Dawlance’s efforts in promoting sustainable business practices, energy efficiency, responsible manufacturing, and environmentally friendly product design.
This year’s conference was held under the theme “The Climate Acceleration: From Commitment to Competitive Edge in the Decisive Decade.” The event highlighted the importance of turning climate commitments into economic opportunities. Experts noted that Pakistan loses nearly 1% of its GDP each year due to climate-related damages, making climate action an urgent priority.
Dawlance was recognized not only for improving its own operations but also for working closely with suppliers, communities, and industry partners to promote sustainability and transparent reporting based on global standards.
CEO of Dawlance, Umar Ahsan Khan, said climate action is a strategic priority for the company and is directly linked to long-term growth and value creation. He added that Dawlance remains committed to achieving its Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi)-approved emission reduction goals by 2030 and reaching net zero emissions by 2050.
The company stated that sustainability is integrated into its long-term strategy under its brand purpose, “Progress Today, Preserve Tomorrow.” Dawlance aims to contribute to Pakistan’s transition toward a low-carbon and environmentally responsible economy.
