ISLAMABAD, May 20, 2026: PTCL and Ufone have achieved PCI DSS v4.0.1 certification for 2026. As a result, both companies have further strengthened their payment card data security and aligned their systems with global cybersecurity standards.
Risk Associates, a globally recognized PCI Qualified Security Assessor (QSA), awarded the certification after independently assessing PTCL and Ufone’s cloud infrastructure and cardholder data systems.
Moreover, the certification confirms that both companies have implemented strong security controls to reduce risks related to fraud, data breaches, and unauthorized access. Consequently, it also improves customer confidence in secure digital transactions.
Commenting on the achievement, Jafar Khalid said the certification reflects the companies’ continued commitment to global security standards and the protection of sensitive customer data.
Meanwhile, Kashif Hassan said PTCL and Ufone demonstrated strong compliance with PCI DSS v4.0.1 requirements through secure data handling practices and a mature cloud infrastructure.
