Tariq Haleem Lauds S.M. Tanveer for Successful Pakistan Economic Summit

KARACHI, Aug. 4, 2026: Former FPCCI Vice President Tariq Haleem praised FPCCI Patron-in-Chief S.M. Tanveer for successfully organizing the first Pakistan Economic Summit 2026, calling it a landmark initiative for the country’s economic future.

Haleem said the summit brought together industrialists, exporters, investors, economists, and policymakers on one platform to discuss Pakistan’s economic challenges and growth opportunities. He credited the event’s success to S.M. Tanveer’s leadership, vision, and dedicated efforts.

Furthermore, Haleem urged FPCCI to transform the summit into a permanent national platform. He proposed holding future editions in major industrial and commercial cities, including Karachi, Lahore, Faisalabad, Sialkot, Gujranwala, Multan, Hyderabad, Sukkur, Peshawar, Quetta, and Islamabad.

He said expanding the summit nationwide would strengthen collaboration between governments, businesses, and investors. It would also promote local industries, boost exports, attract investment, create jobs, and support region-specific economic policies.

Finally, Haleem expressed confidence that the Pakistan Economic Summit could become the country’s leading economic forum, helping shape national policies while driving industrial growth, exports, investment, and long-term economic development.
