KARACHI, Aug. 3, 2026: BankIslami hosted strategic economic outlook sessions in Karachi and Lahore to discuss Pakistan’s FY2027 economic outlook, bringing together policymakers, economists, business leaders, and financial journalists.
The sessions, titled “Pakistan Economic Outlook: FY2027 and Beyond,” focused on the country’s macroeconomic direction, fiscal reform priorities, monetary policy trends, and long-term financial resilience.
Participants included State Bank of Pakistan Deputy Governor Amin Khan Lodhi, Finance Minister’s Advisor Khurram Schehzad, LUMS Associate Professor Dr. Ali Hasanain, economic analyst Khurram Husain, and Business Recorder Director Research Ali Khizar.
Meanwhile, BankIslami President and CEO Rizwan Ata, Deputy CEO Imran H. Shaikh, Group Head Treasury & Financial Institutions Rizwan Malik, and other senior executives also attended the discussions.
Speaking at the event, Rizwan Ata said Pakistan’s long-term economic progress depends on informed dialogue and close collaboration among policymakers, businesses, economists, and financial institutions. He added that BankIslami aims not only to provide financial services but also to expand access to Riba-free, Shariah-compliant banking while supporting sustainable economic growth.
Furthermore, the sessions highlighted BankIslami’s commitment to strengthening Pakistan’s financial ecosystem by aligning policy discussions with business priorities and promoting a more resilient and inclusive Islamic banking sector.
