Karachi, October 29, 2025: The Pakistan International Maritime Expo and Conference (PIMEC 2025) will bring together over 140 delegates from more than 25 countries at the Karachi Expo Centre from November 3 to 6, 2025.
This major event, co-organized by Pakistan Navy and Badar Expo Solutions under the patronage of Ministry of Maritime Affairs, seeks to highlight Pakistan’s increasing role in global maritime industry while simultaneously expanding the Blue Economy in Pakistan.

PIMEC 2025 will serve as an invaluable platform for strategic cooperation, maritime innovation and investment promotion, convening global maritime leaders from government bodies as well as private-sector players from around the Indian Ocean region. PIMEC 2025’s focus will be to unlock Pakistan’s maritime potential while furthering sustainability and regional collaboration within this oceanic ecosystem.
On June 16, 2025, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif presided over the soft launch of PIMEC 2025 – marking what he termed as the start of Pakistan’s “new maritime era”. The Prime Minister noted that PIMEC 2025 provides global investors and innovators an exclusive opportunity to explore Pakistan’s maritime investment prospects and coastal development initiatives.

PIMEC 2025 supports Pakistan’s strategic goal of expanding maritime trade, shipbuilding and regional cooperation – reinforcing Pakistan’s position as an integral player in Indian Ocean economy. Furthermore, this event highlights Pakistan’s dedication to sustainable maritime practices that balance economic progress with environmental preservation.
PIMEC 2023 was an outstanding success, drawing over 14 countries’ delegations and marking Pakistan’s entry into the global network supporting sustainable ocean development. Looking ahead, PIMEC 2025 hopes to double international participation while adding new focus areas, including marine technology, logistics, renewable ocean energy generation systems, port infrastructure development and shipbuilding innovation.
