KARACHI, Aug. 3, 2026: Google, in collaboration with the Ministry of IT & Telecommunication (MoITT), Telenor Pakistan, and Innovista, concluded AI Seekho 2026, one of Pakistan’s largest AI developer initiatives, highlighting the country’s growing demand for artificial intelligence skills.
The programme engaged more than 50,000 developers, attracted over 17,000 registrations, and received more than 1,500 AI-powered solutions built using Google AI Studio and Google Antigravity. At the national finale, teams competed for a PKR 2.5 million prize pool, including a PKR 1 million grand prize.
Furthermore, Google said AI Seekho 2026 demonstrated how wider access to AI tools is enabling developers from diverse backgrounds to build innovative solutions. The company noted that 40% of participants were working professionals, while women accounted for 25% of total participants, reflecting growing diversity in Pakistan’s AI ecosystem.
The competition crowned Team Struggler from DHA Suffa University, Karachi, as the national champion. The team won PKR 1 million for developing an AI-powered single-player game that automatically adjusts its difficulty based on player behavior using Google Antigravity.
Meanwhile, Team Nurture, comprising members from Islamabad, Karachi, Lahore, and Peshawar, secured second place and received PKR 650,000. The team developed Hazir, an AI-powered platform that automates service bookings through intelligent AI agents.
In addition, Team Viberonix from Sahiwal claimed third place and won PKR 325,000. The self-taught developers created Wasila, an AI-driven marketplace that enables users to book services through text messages while AI agents negotiate prices and complete bookings.
Google said AI Seekho 2026 highlights the importance of public-private collaboration in expanding AI education, promoting innovation, and preparing Pakistan’s next generation of technology leaders.
