Minority Rights in Pakistan: PCF Reaffirms Commitment to National Unity

Karachi : On the occasion of Minorities Day, the Pak Christian Foundation (PCF), led by President Tariq Samuel, organized a grand ceremony at the mausoleum of Quaid-e-Azam, symbolizing national unity, harmony, and patriotism.

The event brought together leaders from Christian, Sikh, Hindu, and Muslim communities, along with civil society representatives and citizens from across Pakistan. Participants collectively pledged their continued commitment to minority rights, peace, and religious tolerance.

Among the speakers were Reverend Bishop Salamat, Reverend Raees Boota of the United Presbyterian Evangelical Church, Sardar Amar Singh Vice Chairman of the Church of Pakistan (Karachi & Balochistan), Chairman of the Pakistan Khalsa Sikh Council, and Member of the National Committee for Interfaith Harmony (Government of Pakistan), Pandit Mukesh Kumar representative of the Hindu community, Tariq Nation, General Secretary of Church Leadership, as well as pastors and religious leaders from various denominations.

President Tariq Samuel paid tribute to the sacrifices of minorities in the creation and progress of Pakistan. “Pakistan is our country our forefathers sacrificed for this homeland, and as minorities, we have always stood with our nation. We are proud to be Pakistanis and ready to make every sacrifice for peace, development, and prosperity,” he stated.

The mausoleum administration honoured religious leaders with a Guard of Honour in recognition of their efforts to promote interfaith harmony. Floral wreaths were laid at the mausoleum of Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah, followed by prayers for unity and national prosperity.

General Secretary of PCF, Rashid Gill, expressed gratitude to all attendees, presenting bouquets as a gesture of appreciation. The PCF reaffirmed its dedication to Quaid-e-Azam’s vision, emphasizing that all citizens, regardless of religion or ethnicity, are entitled to equal rights, dignity, and opportunities in Pakistan.
