Mobilink Bank Launches ‘Bibi App’ for Breast Cancer Awareness

Islamabad, May 13, 2026: Mobilink Bank, Pakistan’s leading digital microfinance bank, has launched the “Bibi App,” a mobile application focused on breast cancer awareness. The app delivers accessible and localized health information for women across Pakistan.

Aangan, a women’s reproductive health startup, developed the app. It also serves as an incubatee of Mobilink Bank’s Women Inspirational Network (WIN) Incubator, the bank’s first program dedicated to women-led startups.

Moreover, the launch event in Islamabad brought together foreign diplomats, policymakers, healthcare experts, development stakeholders, and industry leaders. They discussed the importance of women’s health awareness and early breast cancer detection. With this launch, Mobilink Bank introduced its first health-tech initiative focused on breast cancer education.

Health experts estimate that one in nine women in Pakistan faces the risk of breast cancer. It remains the most common cancer among women in the country. However, late diagnosis continues due to stigma, low awareness, and limited access to reliable information. To address this gap, the Bibi App provides credible and culturally relevant guidance. It targets women aged 18 to 55 in urban, peri-urban, and semi-rural areas. Shifa International Hospital has reviewed and vetted all content in the app.

In addition, the initiative highlights Mobilink Bank’s commitment to women’s empowerment. The bank is expanding beyond financial services into inclusive and impact-driven digital innovation. The app offers simple information on early detection, prevention, and general health awareness in both Urdu and English. By using technology, the bank aims to improve health literacy and strengthen support systems for women across Pakistan.

The Bibi App also marks another milestone in Mobilink Bank’s support for women-led innovation. Through the WIN Incubator, the bank has already supported 31 women-led startups. Furthermore, the recently launched National Incubation Centre in Sialkot is expected to expand its reach within Pakistan’s startup ecosystem.

Speaking at the event, Haaris Mahmood Chaudhary, President and CEO of Mobilink Bank, said:
“True empowerment starts with access. It includes access to knowledge, care, and informed decision-making. Through the Bibi App, we use digital innovation to break barriers in women’s health. We also promote early detection and ensure women receive clear and useful health information.”

Through its WIN program, Mobilink Bank continues to support women-led innovation. It also promotes scalable solutions that address key social and economic challenges faced by women in Pakistan.
