KARACHI ,June 3,2026 :In Pakistan’s challenging security environment, law enforcement agencies now face heavier responsibilities. As a result, Sindh Police continues to adapt and strengthen its response to terrorism, crime, and public safety needs.
Recent high-level meetings, chaired by IG Sindh Javed Alam Odho, show clear leadership focus. He directs efforts to improve counterterrorism, crime prevention, administrative reforms, and public service delivery.
Meanwhile, the Counter Terrorism Department (CTD) stresses intelligence gathering, early prevention, modern technology use, and stronger inter-agency coordination. Consequently, counterterror operations now rely more on planning and intelligence rather than reaction.
Encouragingly, terrorism cases decline this year. CTD officers achieve this progress through consistent effort and professionalism under difficult conditions. At the same time, IG Sindh orders stronger action against banned groups, criminal networks, facilitators, and foreign-based operatives. He makes it clear that Sindh offers no space for threats to peace.
In parallel, Sindh Police reviews performance across departments. It pushes reforms in transparency, welfare, promotions, training, and administration. Therefore, leadership focuses on building a more skilled and efficient force.
Similarly, DIG East Zone Dr. Farrukh Ali and DIG South Asad Raza lead preparations for Muharram security. They review deployment plans, intelligence operations, bomb disposal readiness, female search teams, traffic control, and surveillance systems. As a result, police shift toward a preventive and proactive security model.
Moreover, DIG South Asad Raza emphasizes safe arrangements for mourners. He coordinates with district administration, Rangers, and other institutions. Consequently, joint planning strengthens security and promotes unity.
On another front, Karachi Traffic Police launches a Road Safety Officer Unit under DIG Traffic’s direction. Globally, police now expand beyond enforcement to facilitation and public engagement. Therefore, this initiative improves traffic discipline and strengthens public trust.
Meanwhile, Malir Investigation Wing arrests several wanted suspects in serious cases. These arrests show that strong investigation systems remain key to long-term crime control, not just routine patrolling.
In Naushahro Feroze, a celebratory firing incident kills a man during a wedding. In response, SSP Mir Rohal Khan Khuhro acts immediately. He registers a case and orders arrests. Thus, authorities reinforce that law applies equally to all and strictly prohibit misuse of weapons.
Overall, law and order remain a continuous challenge. However, it requires joint responsibility from police, citizens, media, and institutions. When all stakeholders support reform and professionalism, results improve.
In conclusion, Sindh Police strengthens reforms, expands intelligence-led policing, and improves coordination. Despite challenges, it continues working toward a safer, more stable, and more trusted security environment in Sindh
