Karachi May 9,2026 : Dow University of Health Sciences Pro Vice Chancellor Prof. Jahan Ara Hasan said that the victory of “Ma’rqa-e-Haq” had not only strengthened national unity but also elevated Pakistan’s stature in the world, adding that the nation takes pride in its armed forces.
She expressed these views while addressing the “Ma’rqa-e-Haq Solidarity Day” ceremony organized by the Institute of Business and Health Management (IBHM) of Dow University of Health Sciences as the chief guest.
Speaking on the occasion, Prof. Asima Faisal also highlighted the importance of national solidarity and patriotism among students and academic institutions.
The programme commenced with the recitation of the Holy Quran, followed by a ribbon-cutting ceremony jointly performed by Prof. Jahan Ara Hasan and Prof. Asima Faisal. A symbolic aircraft activity was also presented to express solidarity with the armed forces and to promote the spirit of patriotism. Participants also attended a special discussion on the significance of “Ma’rqa-e-Haq” in the national context.
Students and faculty members enthusiastically participated in the event. The participants showcased Pakistan’s cultural diversity through traditional regional attire, cultural stalls, regional cuisines and interactive activities, while a photobooth remained a major attraction for attendees.
According to the organisers, the event served as an effective platform for promoting national unity, cultural harmony, social engagement and patriotism within the university community.
At the conclusion of the ceremony, the organisers thanked all participants and contributors for making the event successful, stating that the programme further strengthened the spirit of unity, culture and love for the homeland.
